ABSTRACT: The title compound, C16H16N2S2, adopts a gauche (+)-gauche (+)-gauche (+) (g(+)g(+)g(+) ) conformation in the NH-CH2-CH2-NH bond sequence. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected by pairs of N-H?S=C hydrogen bonds and C-H?? inter-actions, forming a tape structure along the c-axis direction.

In the crystal, N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link adjacent mol-ecules into a thick sheet structure parallel to the b-axis direction.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(20)H(28)N(2)O(6)S(2), contains one half-mol-ecule, related to the other half by a twofold rotation axis. The two aromatic rings of the mol-ecule make a dihedral angle of 50.91 (7)°. The O-CH(2)-CH(2)-O and N-CH(2)-CH(2)-O fragments both adopt gauche conformations, with torsion angles of 76.0 (4) and 70.4 (3)°, respectively. In the crystal, adjacent mol-ecules are linked through N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into chains along the a-axis direction. The chains are further connected via C-H⋯O inter-actions into a two-dimensional supra-molecular network in the ac plane.

Project description:The reaction of benzoyl chloride and ethyl-endi-amine in the presence of potassium thio-cyanate yielded a white solid, C18H18N4O2S2, which consists of two benzoyl-thio-ureido moieties connected by an ethyl-ene chain. The asymmetric unit consists of one half of the mol-ecule, the complete mol-ecule being generated by crystallographic inversion symmetry. Both thio-urea moieties are in a trans conformation. An intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond occurs. In the crystal, C-H⋯S and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the molecules, forming layers parallel to the ac plane.

Project description:The title compounds, C16H14O2S2 and C16H14O3S, which are monomeric models (models D and E) for a polythio-noester and a poly(ester-co-thio-noester), respectively, crystallize in the space group P21/c and are isostructural with each other. The mol-ecule in each crystal is located on an inversion centre and has an all-trans structure. The asymmetric unit comprises one half-mol-ecule. In the crystal, there are inter-molecular C⋯S contacts [3.391 (3) and 3.308 (3) Å for models D and E, respectively] and C-H⋯π inter-actions, which form a layer structure parallel to the bc plane. The carbonyl and thio-carbonyl groups of the model E compound are each disordered over two equivalent sites about the inversion centre with equal occupancies.

Project description:In the title compound, C15H15N3S2, the central pyrazole ring adopts a twisted conformation on the -CH-CH2- bond. Its mean plane makes dihedral angles of 7.19 (12) and 71.13 (11)° with those of the thio-phene and toluene rings, respectively. The carbothi-amide group [C(=S)-N] is inclined to the pyrazole ring mean plane by 16.8 (2)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds, forming chains propagating along [010]. Within the chains, there are N-H⋯π inter-actions present. Between the chains there are weak parallel slipped π-π inter-actions involving inversion-related thio-phene and pyrazole rings [inter-centroid distance = 3.7516 (14) Å; inter-planar distance = 3.5987 (10) Å; slippage = 1.06 Å].

C-H?? inter-actions are also present.
