ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C16H12O5, synthesized from isopthaloyl chloride and 2'-hy-droxy-aceto-phenone, the dihedral angle between the planes of the aromatic rings is 71.37?(9)°. In the crystal, carb-oxy-lic acid inversion dimers generate R 2 (2)(8) loops. The dimers are linked by C-H?O inter-actions, generating (101) sheets.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C14H18N2O4, contains two independent mol-ecules (A and B) which have essentially the same conformation. The piperazine rings adopts chair conformations with the N atoms out of plane. The dihedral angles formed by the four approximately planar C atoms of the piperazine ring and the benzene ring is 30.8 (5)° in mol-ecule A and 30.6 (5)° in mol-ecule B. In the crystal, mol-ecules A and B are connected by a pair of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a dimer with graph-set notation R22(8). Weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect the dimers, forming zigzag chains along [001].

Intra- and inter-molecular hydrogen bonds are observed. The inter-planar angle between the sydnone and benzene rings is 71.94?(8)°. ?-ring?carbon-yl inter-actions of 3.2038?(16)?Å arise between the sydnone ring and a symmetry-related C=O group.

Project description:The title compound, C16H14N2O3, has an E conformation about the azo-benzene [-N=N- = 1.2481?(16)?Å] linkage. The benzene rings are almost coplanar [dihedral angle = 1.36?(7)°]. The O atoms of the carb-oxy-lic acid group are disordered over two sets of sites and were refined with an occupancy ratio of 0.5:0.5. The two disordered components of the carb-oxy-lic acid group make dihedral angles of 1.5?(14) and 3.8?(12)° with the benzene ring to which they are attached. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via pairs of O-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers. The dimers are connected via C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming ribbons lying parallel to [120]. These ribbons are linked via C-H?? inter-actions, forming slabs parallel to (001).

Project description:In the crystal of the title compound, C(9)H(7)FO(4), classical carboxylate inversion dimers are linked by pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. Project description:In the crystal of the title compound, C11H14O4, the aromatic ring is almost coplanar with the 2-position meth-oxy group with which it subtends a dihedral of 0.54 (2)°, while the 5-position meth-oxy group makes a corresponding dihedral angle of just 5.30 (2)°. The angle between the mean planes of the aromatic ring and the propionic acid group is 78.56 (2)°. The fully extended propionic side chain is in a trans configuration with a C-C-C-C torsion angle of -172.25 (7)°. In the crystal, hydrogen bonding is limited to dimer formation via R 2 (2)(8) rings. The hydrogen-bonded dimers are stacked along the b axis. The average planes of the two benzene rings in a dimer are parallel to each other, but at an offset of 4.31 (2) Å. The dimers are linked by two C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and an offset π-π inter-action [inter-centroid distance = 3.6405 (14) Å], forming layers lying parallel to the (10) plane. The layers are linked by a third C-H⋯O hydrogen bond and a C-H⋯π inter-action to form a supra-molecular framework.
