Crystal structure of N,N-di-ethyl-benzene-1,4-diaminium dinitrate.

ABSTRACT: In the structure of the title mol-ecular salt, C10H18N2 (2+)·2NO3 (-), the dinitrate salt of 4-(N,N-di-ethyl-amino)-aniline, the two ethyl groups lie almost perpendicular to the plane of the benzene ring [the ring-to-ethyl C-C-N-C torsion angles are -59.5?(2) and 67.5?(3)°]. The aminium groups of the cation form inter-species N-H?O hydrogen bonds with the nitro O-atom acceptors of both anions, giving rise to chain substructures lying along c. The chains are linked via further N-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming two-dimensional networks lying parallel to (010). These sheets are linked by C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional structure.

2-Chloro-benzene-1,4-diaminium bis-(dihydrogenphosphate).

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title salt, C(6)H(9)ClN(2) (2+)·2H(2)PO(4) (-), contains two dihydrogenphosphate anions and one 2-chloro-benzene-1,4-diaminium dication. The H(2)PO(4) (-) anions are inter-connected through strong O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds to form two-dimensional infinite layers parallel to (001). The organic entities are anchored to the inorganic layers through N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, and through weak C-Cl⋯O halogen bonds [3.159 (2) Å, 140.48 (7)°]. No π-π stacking inter-actions between neighboring aromatic rings or C-H⋯π inter-actions towards them are observed. Minor disorder is observed for the Cl atom and one hy-droxy group [minor-component occupancy = 3.29 (9)%].

Crystal structure of tetra-ethyl-ammonium chloride 3,4,5,6-tetra-fluoro-1,2-di-iodo-benzene.

Project description:Equimolar qu-anti-ties of tetra-ethyl-ammonium chloride (Et4NCl) and 3,4,5,6-tetra-fluoro-1,2-di-iodo-benzene (o-DITFB or o-C6F4I2) have been co-crystallized in a solution of di-chloro-methane yielding a pure halogen-bonded compound, 3,4,5,6-tetra-fluoro-1,2-di-iodo-benzene-tetra-ethyl ammonium chloride (2/1), Et4N(+)·Cl(-)·2C6F4I2, in the form of translucent needles. [(Et4NCl)(o-C6F4I2)2] packs in the C2/c space group. The asymmetric unit includes one mol-ecule of DITFB, one Et4N(+) cation located on a twofold rotation axis, and one chloride anion also located on a twofold rotation symmetry axis. This compound has an inter-esting halogen-bonding environment surrounding the halide. Here, the chloride anion acts as a tetra-dentate halogen bond acceptor and forms a distorted square-pyramidal geometry, with I?Cl(-)?I angles of 80.891?(6) and 78.811?(11)°, where two crystallographically distinct iodine atoms form halogen bonds with the chloride anion. Resulting from that square-pyramidal geometry are short contacts between some of the adjacent F atoms. Along the b axis, the halogen-bonding inter-action results in a polymeric network, producing a sheet in which the two closest chloride ions are 7.8931?(6)?Å apart. The Et4N(+) cation alternates in columns with the halide ion. The expected short contacts (shorter than the sum of their van der Waals radii) are observed for the halogen bonds [3.2191?(2) and 3.2968?(2)?Å], as well as almost linear angles [170.953?(6) and 173.529?(6)°].

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title salt, C7H12N2 (2+)·2NO3 (-), the nitrate ions are located in the vicinity of the protonated amine groups, accepting strong N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. Each ammonium group is involved in a total of three such inter-actions with neighbouring nitrate ions, generating a three-dimensional network. In addition, there are π-π inter-actions between the aromatic rings of centrosymmetrically related di-ammonium moieties, with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.682 (1) Å.

The imidazolium ring forms a dihedral angle of 62.7 (3)° with the plane defined by the C atoms of the -(CH(2))(4)- aliphatic linker. Two anions bind to the cation via three-centre N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and thus discrete hydrogen-bonded ion triples are formed. Project description:The title compound, [Hf(C5H5)2(C8H16)], proves a structural motif of hafna-cyclo-pentane besides the coordination of two cyclo-penta-dienyl ligands in an η(5)-fashion. The hafna-cyclo-pentane ring has a twist conformation and is substituted by two ethyl groups in the β,β'-positions, which are trans orientated to each other. One cyclo-penta-dienyl ring and one ethyl group are each disordered over two positions with site-occupancy ratios of 0.679 (15):0.321 (15) and 0.702 (18):0.298 (18), respectively.

Project description:A coordination polymer formulated as [Sr(H2BTEC)(H2O)] n (H4BTEC = benzene-1,2,4,5-tetra-carb-oxy-lic acid, C10H6O8), was synthesized hydro-thermally and characterized by single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and thermal analysis. Its crystal structure is made up of a zigzag inorganic chain formed by edge-sharing of [SrO8] polyhedra running along [001]. Adjacent chains are connected to each other via the carboxyl-ate groups of the ligand, resulting in a double-layered network extending parallel to (100). O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds of medium-to-weak strength between the layers consolidate the three-dimensional structure. One of the carb-oxy-lic OH functions was found to be disordered over two sets of sites with half-occupancy.
