A bio-catalytic Janus motor based on the mesoporous silica cluster (JMSC) is fabricated. Chemically conjugated catalase triggers the decomposition of H2O2 to produce driving force by bubble propulsion, while a metallic (Ni) coating layer allows for magnetic guidance of the motor. The JMSC motor can act as a delivery vehicle with cargo loading inside its mesopores. ...[more]
