Crystal structure of bis-[?-bis-(di-phenyl-phosphan-yl)methane-?(2) P:P']-?-chlorido-chlorido-1?Cl-(1-phenyl-thio-urea-2?S)disilver aceto-nitrile hemisolvate.

ABSTRACT: In the dinuclear title complex, [Ag2Cl2(C7H8N2S)(C25H22P2)2]·0.5CH3CN, each Ag(I) ion displays a distorted tetra-hedral coordination geometry with two P atoms from two bis-(di-phenyl-phosphan-yl)methane (dppm) ligands, one bridging chloride ion, one terminal chloride ion and one terminal S atom from the N,N'-phenyl-thio-urea (ptu) ligand. The dppm ligands and the bridging chloride ion force the two Ag atoms into close proximity, with a short Ag?Ag separation of 3.2064?(2)?Å. In the crystal, complex mol-ecules are linked by N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds forming a dimer. The dimers are linked via weak C- H?Cl hydrogen bonds forming a two-dimensional supra-molecular architecture in the yz plane. In addition, an intra-molecular N-H?Cl hydrogen bond is observed.

Project description:The mol-ecular structure of the title polymeric complex, {[Ag(2)Cl(CH(4)N(2)S)(2)]NO(3)}(n), consists of a binuclear cationic complex and a nitrate counter-ion. The cationic complex contains two bridging thio-urea (Tu) ligands and a triply bridging μ(3)-Cl anion. The latter is probably released from 2-amino-ethane-thiol hydro-chloride during the synthesis. The coordination environment around the two Ag(I) atoms is different; one is trigonal planar, being coordinated by two thio-urea ligands through the S atoms and to one Cl(-) ion, while in the other the Ag(I) atom is tetra-hedrally coordinated by two thio-urea ligands through the S atoms and to two Cl(-) ions. These units aggregate through the Cl(-) anion and the Tu S atoms, forming a chain propagating in [100]. In the crystal structure, the polymeric chains are linked via N-H⋯O and N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, forming a double layer two-dimensional network propagating in (011).

Project description:In the title coordination polymer, [Ag(2)(NCS)(2)(C(27)H(26)P(2))(2)](n), two centrosymmetrically related Ag(+) cations are linked by two thio-cyanate anions into binuclear eight-membered macrocycles. The Ag⋯Ag separation within the macrocycle is 5.4400 (6) Å. The distorted tetra-hedral coordination about each metal atom is completed by the P atoms of two bridging 1,3-bis-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)propane ligands, forming polymeric ribbons parallel to the a axis.

Project description:In the title compound, (C(20)H(17)N(2))(2)[Pd(2)Cl(6)]·2C(6)H(6), the dichloride-bridged [Pd(2)Cl(6)](2-) anion lies across an inversion center with each Pd(II) ion in a slightly distorted square-planar environment. In the crystal structure, two cations and an anion are connected via N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds between the NH groups of the iminioisoindoline cations and terminal Cl atoms of a hexa-chloridodipalladate(II) anion. The Pd-Cl distance of the terminal chloride engaged in hydrogen bonding is slightly longer than the Pd-Cl distance of the adjacent terminal chloride which is not involved in hydrogen bonding.

Project description:The title compound, [Pd(2)(C(11)H(14)NO)(2)Cl(2)], has a dimeric structure with Cl atoms bridging the two Pd atoms, one half of the mol-ecule being generated by symmetry due to the crystallographic inversion centre located in the middle of the perfectly planar Pd(2)Cl(2) ring. The five-membered ring adopts an envelope conformation, while the morpholino group has a chair conformation. The geometry around the metal centres is distorted square-planar, as a result of a strong intra-molecular N→Pd coordination trans to a Pd-Cl bond. The -C CH and the chlorine ligands are disordered over two equivalent positions (0.5 occupancy each). The coordination geometry is distorted octa-hedral, with the -C CH fragment and the Cl ligand in trans positions. The four P atoms occupy the equatorial plane of the octa-hedron and the chloride and acetyl-ide ligands the axial positions.
