Project description:In the title compound, C15H19NO4, the cyclo-hexyl ring adopts a chair conformation with both exocyclic C-C bonds in equatorial orientations. The dihedral angle between the basal plane of cyclo-hexyl ring and the 2,4-di-hydroxy-benzaldehyde moiety is 84.13 (13)°. An intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds closes an S(6) ring. In the crystal, Oc-H⋯Op (c = carb-oxy-lic acid, p = phenol) hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into [100] C(13) chains whereas an Op-H⋯Oc hydrogen bond generates [101] C(15) chains. Together, these bonds generate (010) sheets incorporating R 2 (2)(20) loops. Weak C-H⋯O and C-H⋯π inter-actions also occur.

Project description:In the title salt, C4H7N4O(+)·C7H7O3S(-), the 2,6-di-amino-4-oxo-1,3-di-hydro-pyrimidin-1-ium cation inter-acts with the sulfonate group of the p-toluene-sulfonate anion via a pair of N-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a hetero-synthon R 2 (2)(8) that mimics the role of a carboxyl-ate. The self-assembled cations form a homo-synthon R 2 (1)(6) motif which is further linked with the sulfonate anion via N-H?O hydrogen bonds to generate an R 3 (2)(10) ring motif. The three motifs are fused together and extended as supra-molecular ribbons along the b-axis direction. Adjacent ribbons are further linked via N-H?O hydrogen bonds to form an annulus, with an R 4 (4)(20) ring motif, resulting in a tunnel-like arrangement propagating along [010]. There are slipped parallel ?-? stacking inter-actions [inter-centroid distance = 3.6539?(7)?Å], between the tunnel-like polymer chains, forming slabs parallel to (100).

Project description:In the title compound, C21H29N3O, the dihedral angle between the planes of the aromatic rings is 8.1 (2)°. The ethyl groups at one terminal site of the compound are disordered over two sets of sites with occupancies of 0.775 (9) and 0.225 (9). The mol-ecule has an E conformation about the N=C bond. The mol-ecular structure features an intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond, which closes an S(6) loop. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯π inter-actions leads to the formation of a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The title compound, C10H13Cl2NO2·C6H4Cl2O, was formed from the incomplete Mannich condensation reaction of 3-amino-propan-1-ol, formaldehyde and 2,4-di-chloro-phenol in methanol. This resulted in the formation of a co-crystal of the zwitterionic Mannich base, 2,4-di-chloro-6-{[(3-hy-droxy-prop-yl)azaniumyl]-meth-yl}phenolate and the unreacted 2,4-di-chloro-phenol. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system (in space group Cc) and the asymmetric unit contains a mol-ecule each of the 2,4-di-chloro-phenol and 2,4-di-chloro-6-{[(3-hy-droxy-prop-yl)azaniumyl]-meth-yl}phenolate. Examination of the crystal structure shows that the two components are clearly linked together by hydrogen bonds. The packing patterns are most inter-esting along the b and the c axes, where the co-crystal in the unit cell packs in a manner that shows alternating aromatic di-chloro-phenol fragments and polar hydrogen-bonded channels. The 2,4-di-chloro-phenol rings stack on top of one another, and these are held together by π-π inter-actions. The crystal studied was refined as an inversion twin.

The piperidine ring shows a regular chair conformation with an equatorially positioned exocyclic N-C bond. In the crystal, there is a hydrogen bond between the ammonium cation and the bromide anion. The crystal packing shows the dominant inter-molecular inter-action to be the electrostatic attraction between the ammonium cation and the bromide anion.

Project description:The title compound, C23H28F3NO, is an ortho-hy-droxy Schiff base compound, which adopts the enol-imine tautomeric form in the solid state. The mol-ecular structure is not planar and the dihedral angle between the planes of the aromatic rings is 85.52?(10)°. The tri-fluoro-methyl group shows rotational disorder over two sites, with occupancies of 0.798?(6) and 0.202?(6). An intra-molecular O-H?N hydrogen bonding generates an S(6) ring motif. The crystal structure is consolidated by C-H?? inter-actions. The mol-ecular structure was optimized via density functional theory (DFT) methods with the B3LYP functional and LanL2DZ basis set. The theoretical structure is in good agreement with the experimental data. The frontier orbitals and mol-ecular electrostatic potential map were also examined by DFT computations.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C18H23N2O(+)·NO3 (-)·0.5H2O, contains two independent 4-{4-[eth-yl(2-hy-droxy-eth-yl)amino]-styr-yl}-1-methyl-pyridin-1-ium cations, two nitrate anions and one lattice water mol-ecule. In the cations, the pyridine ring is twisted with respect by 7.98?(12) and 18.42?(10)° to the benzene ring. In the crystal, the cations, the anions and the lattice water mol-ecules are linked by O-H?O hydrogen bonds and weak C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture. ?-? stacking occurs between pyridine and benzene rings of adjacent cations, the centroid-centroid distances being 3.8169?(15) and 3.8663?(14)?Å. In the crystal, one of the independent cations is disordered, the central vinyl unit and the terminal hy-droxy-lethyl group being disordered over two sets of sites with site occupancy factors of 0.600?(6) and 0.400?(6).
