Complete Genome Sequences of Three Laboratory Strains of Dengue Virus (Serotypes 2, 3, and 4) Available in South Korea.

ABSTRACT: Here, we report the complete genome sequences of three laboratory strains of dengue virus serotype-2 (DENV-2/KBPV-VR-29), -3 (DENV-3/KBPV-VR-30), and -4 (DENV-4/KBPV-VR-31) obtained from the Korea Bank for Pathogenic Viruses (http://kbpv.knrrc.or.kr). The complete genetic information presented in this study on commonly used DENV laboratory strains provides valuable information for future studies.

Project description:Two porcine deltacoronavirus (PDCoV) strains, named DH1/2016 and DH2/2016, were isolated from feces of piglets which had severe watery diarrhea symptoms. A comparison of the complete genome sequences suggested that the DH1/2016 and DH2/2016 strains are highly homologous to each other and to PDCoVs isolated in early 2014 from the United States.

Project description:Classical swine fever is a disease that is devastating the pig industry worldwide. Here, we report the complete genome sequences of two classical swine virus strains (YC11WB and PC11WB), isolated from Korean wild boars in 2011. Both strains belong to subgenotype 2.1b. The complete genome sequences of PC11WB and YC11WB are more similar to that of strain ZJ0801 (isolated in China) than to that of the SW03 strain isolated from domestic pigs in South Korea.

The nucleotide sequence identities ranged from 91.5 to 92.2%, while the amino acid sequence identities ranged from 97.5 to 97.9% among the three clinical isolates.

Complete genome sequences of three strains of coxsackievirus a7.

Project description:Genomes of three strains (Parker, USSR, and 275/58) of coxsackievirus A7 (CV-A7) were amplified by the long reverse transcription (RT)-PCR method and sequenced. While the sequences of Parker and USSR were identical, the similarities of 275/58 to the CV-A7 reference sequence, accession no. AY421765, were 82.6% and 96.2% for nucleotides and amino acids, respectively.
