Genome Sequences of Two Pseudorabies Virus Strains Isolated in Greece.

ABSTRACT: Pseudorabies virus (species Suid herpesvirus 1) belongs to the genus Varicellovirus, subfamily Alphaherpesvirinae, family Herpesviridae, and is the causative agent of an acute and frequently fatal disease that affects mainly pigs. Here, we report the genome sequences of two strains of this virus isolated in Greece in 2010.

Project description:The full-genome sequences of strains chicken/Indonesia/Cilebut/010WJ/2015 and chicken/Indonesia/ITA/012WJ/1951, isolated in West Java, Indonesia, in 2015 and 1951, respectively, were examined. Chicken/Indonesia/Cilebut/010WJ/2015 (genotype VII) caused a 2015 disease outbreak in Indonesia, and chicken/Indonesia/ITA/012WJ/1951 (genotype VI) is used as a standard strain for challenge in Newcastle disease virus (NDV) vaccine trials.

Complete genome sequences of two waterfowl-origin tembusu virus strains isolated in shandong province, china.

Project description:Here, we report the complete genome sequences of two tembusu virus strains, ZC-1 and LQ-1, isolated from ducks and geese, respectively, in 2012. Phylogenetic analysis showed that the nucleotide and amino acid sequences of the two strains are closely related to those of the TMUV isolates around Shandong province. The full-length genome sequences of two waterfowl-origin TMUVs provided herein will help to understand the molecular epidemiology of tembusu virus in China, which deserves further investigation.

Here, we report the first complete genome sequences of B. hinzii in two isolates recovered from humans. These two strains were deposited at the Collection of Microalgae (IPPAS) of the Timiryazev Institute of Plant Physiology.

Whole-Genome Sequences of Two Kazachstania barnettii Strains Isolated from Anthropic Environments.

Project description:Recent studies have suggested that species of the Kazachstania genus may be interesting models of yeast domestication. Among these, Kazachstania barnettii has been isolated from various microbially transformed foodstuffs such as sourdough bread and kefir. In the present work, we sequence, assemble, and annotate the complete genomes of two K. barnettii strains: CLIB 433, being one of the two reference strains for K. barnettii that was isolated as a spoilage organism in soft drink, and CLIB 1767, recently isolated from artisan bread-making sourdough. Both assemblies are of high quality with N50 statistics greater than 1.3 Mb and BUSCO score greater than 99%. An extensive comparison of the two obtained genomes revealed very few differences between the two K. barnettii strains, considering both genome structure and gene content. The proposed genome assemblies will constitute valuable references for future comparative genomic, population genomic, or transcriptomic studies of the K. barnettii species.

The two genomes consist of circular chromosomes of 2,431,961 bp and 2,481,998 bp, respectively, and contain high numbers of repetitive elements.
