Cyclic N (1)-pentylinosine monophosphate (cpIMP), a novel simplified inosine derivative of cyclic ADP-ribose (cADPR) in which the N (1)-pentyl chain and the monophosphate group replace the northern ribose and the pyrophosphate moieties, respectively, was synthesized.
