Crystal structure of aqua-(nitrato-κO)dioxido{2-[3-(pyridin-2-yl-κN)-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-yl-κN (4)]phenolato-κO}uranium(VI) aceto-nitrile monosolvate monohydrate.

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [U(C13H9N4O)(NO3)O2(H2O)]·CH3CN·H2O, the U(VI) atom is seven-coordinated in a distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal N2O5 manner by one tridentate triazole ligand, one monodentate nitrate anion and one water mol-ecule in the equatorial plane and by two uran-yl(VI) O atoms in the axial positions. In the crystal, the U(VI) complex mol-ecule is linked to the water and aceto-nitrile solvent mol-ecules through N-H⋯N, O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming a sheet structure parallel to the bc plane. The sheets are further linked by an additional O-H⋯O hydrogen bond, forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title complex, [U(C17H14BrN3O2S)O2(C2H5OH)], the U(VI) cation has a distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal environment with the penta-gonal plane defined by two N and two O atoms of the tetra-dentate Schiff base ligand and the O atom of the ethanol mol-ecule. Two oxide O atoms occupy the axial positions. The azomethine C=N group and the Br atom are disordered over two positions in a 0.8356 (18):0.1644 (18) ratio. The ethyl-thiolyl group is disordered over three conformations in a 0.8356 (18):0.085 (6):0.079 (6) ratio, and the ethanol ligand is also disordered over three orientations in a 0.470 (16):0.277 (19):0.253 (18) ratio. In the crystal, mol-ecules form centrosymmetric dimers through hydrogen bonding between ethanol O-H donors and phenolate O-atom acceptors. Weak C-H⋯O inter-actions consolidate the crystal packing.

Project description:In the title complex, [Cd(C(14)H(9)N(5))(NO(3))(H(2)O)(2)]NO(3), the Cd(II) ion is coordinated in a distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal geometry. The equatorial sites are occupied by a 2-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-1,10-phenanthroline ligand in a tridentate coordination mode and a bis-chelating nitrate ligand. Two aqua ligands are coordinated at the axial sites. All non-H atoms in the equatorial plane are co-planar within 0.0673 Å. In the crystal, inter-molecular O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds connect the components into a two-dimensional network parallel to (001). In addition, there is a π-π stacking inter-action between symmetry-related benzene rings, with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.598 (3) Å.

The Cu(II) atom has a weak inter-action with another O atom of the nitrate group. The two O atoms of the tridentate Schiff base ligand are in a trans arrangement. O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the uncoordinated water mol-ecule are observed.

Project description:In the title compound, [Ni(C(8)H(7)O(3))(NO(3))(C(12)H(12)N(2))(2)], the asymmetric unit contains a Ni(II) atom, two mol-ecules of 2-(benzyl-amino)pyridine, a mol-ecule of deprotonated o-vanillin (3-methoxy-salicylaldehydate) and a bidentate nitrate anion. The Ni(II) center is six-coordinated by two pyridine N atoms from 2-(benzyl-amino)pyridine, two O atoms from o-vanillin and two O atoms from the nitrate anion. The crystal packing shows two hydrogen bonds from the amine N-H group to the deprotonated phenol O atom of the o-vanillin moieties, as well as weak C-H⋯O secondary inter-actions. These inter-actions link the mol-ecules into ribbons in the c direction. The steric requirement of the bidentate nitrate and its small bite angle [61.01 (3)°] cause some orientation of the two 2-(benzyl-amino)pyridine groups. As a result, this coordination environment of the Ni(II) center is distorted octa-hedral, as the trans angles range from 158.65 (3) to 175.76 (3)° and the cis angles range from 61.01 (3) (for the bidentate nitrate O atoms) to 102.30 (4)°.

C-H⋯O inter-actions are also observed.

Project description:The dinuclear title compound, [Pb(2)(C(6)H(8)O(4))(NO(3))(2)(C(19)H(13)N(5))(2)], lies with the mid-point of the butyl chain of the bridging adipate unit on a center of inversion. The Pb(II) ion is covalently bonded to the nitrate anion and is bonded to a carboxyl-ate group of the adipate unit by another covalent bond. The N-heterocycle functions in a chelating tridentate mode. The metal atom exists in a Ψ-octa-hedral coordination environment. When weaker Pb⋯O inter-actions are also considered, the geometry is a Ψ-tricapped trigonal prism in which the lone-pair electrons occupy one face of the trigonal prism. Adjacent mol-ecules are linked into a layer structure by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

The coordination polyhedron of the Cu atom is an elongated octa-hedron distorted by Jahn-Teller effects. Inter-molecular O-H⋯O, O-H⋯N, N-H⋯O and N-H⋯N hydrogen-bonding inter-actions link these units into a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture.
