Complete Genome Sequence of Nitrilotriacetate-Degrading Aminobacter aminovorans KCTC 2477T.

ABSTRACT: Aminobacter aminovorans is a Gram-negative, pleomorphic rod-shaped, flagellated, and obligately aerobic bacterium that was isolated from soil. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of A. aminovorans KCTC 2477T, which degrades nitrilotriacetate-metal complexes and iminodiacetate, a metabolic intermediate of nitrilotriacetate.

Project description:Weissella koreensis is a Gram-positive, rod-shaped, nonmotile, and facultative anaerobic species belonging to the lactic acid bacteria (LAB). The members of this species have been repeatedly isolated from kimchi (a traditional Korean fermented food) and are known for their beneficial effects on human and animal intestinal microflora through producing various clinically important amino acids such as ?-aminobutyric acid and ornithine. Comparative genomics of cellulolytic clostridia will provide insight into factors that influence degradation rates.
