AbstractCrimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever is a tick-borne disease caused by the arbovirus Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV, family Bunyaviridae, genus <i>Nairovirus</i>). CCHFV can cause a severe hemorrhagic fever with high-case fatality rates in humans.
