<h4>Aim</h4>IgA nephropathy (IgAN) is the major cause of end-stage renal disease(ESRD) in Asia and its pathogenesis is influenced by both genetic and environmental factors. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in <i>IL1R1</i> and <i>IL-1R2</i> may be associated with susceptibility to IgAN.
