<h4>Rationale</h4>Voltage-gated Na<sup>+</sup> channel ( I<sub>Na</sub>) function is critical for normal cardiac excitability. However, the Na<sup>+</sup> channel late component ( I<sub>Na,L</sub>) is directly associated with potentially fatal forms of congenital and acquired human arrhythmia.
