Hyperlipidemia is a key risk factor in inducing fatty liver, hypertension, atherosclerosis and cerebrovascular diseases. Previous studies have verified that polysaccharides from fruiting bodies (PEPE) of <i>Pleurotus eryngii</i> (king oyster mushroom) are capable of decreasing the lipid content.
