Highly pathogenic avian influenza viruses are classified by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) as causes of devastating avian diseases. This study aimed to develop type IIb <i>Escherichia</i> <i>coli</i> heat-labile enterotoxin (LTIIb) as novel mucosal adjuvants for mucosal vaccine development.
