While hydrogen polysulfides (H<sub>2</sub>S<sub>n</sub>, n ≥ 2) are believed to play regulatory roles in biology, their fundamental chemistry and reactivity are still poorly understood. Compounds that can produce H<sub>2</sub>S<sub>n</sub> are useful tools.
