Atmospheric nitrogen (N) deposition affects the greenhouse gas (GHG) balance of ecosystems through the net atmospheric CO<sub>2</sub> exchange and the emission of non-CO<sub>2</sub> GHGs (CH<sub>4</sub> and N<sub>2</sub>O).
