<i>Crocus sativus</i>, containing remarkably amounts of crocin, picrocrocin and safranal, is the source of saffron with tremendous medicinal, economic and cultural importance. Here, we present a high-quality full-length transcriptome of the sterile triploid <i>C. sativus</i>, using the PacBio SMRT sequencing technology.
