Two new species of Rhaphium from Qinghai Province, China (Diptera, Dolichopodidae, Rhaphiinae).

ABSTRACT: At present, there are 31 species of Rhaphium Meigen recorded in China. In this paper, two species from Qinghai Province of China are described as new to science: Rhaphium huzhuense sp. nov., Rhaphium minhense sp. nov. A key to the Chinese species of Rhaphium is provided.

Project description:Only three species of Medetera Fischer von Waldheim were known from Inner Mongolia. Here the following ten new species of Medetera, of which three species belong to Medetera apicalis group and seven belong to Medetera diadema-veles group, are added to the fauna of Inner Mongolia: Medetera albens sp. n., Medetera bisetifera sp. n., Medetera flava sp. n., Medetera ganshuiensis sp. n., Medetera lihuae sp. n., and Medetera transformata sp. n., Medetera triseta sp. n., Medetera shiae sp. n., Medetera shuimogouensis sp. n., and Medetera xiquegouensis sp. n. A key to the species of Medetera from Palaearctic China is provided.

A new species of Zagrammosoma Ashmead (Hymenoptera, Eulophidae) from Qinghai Province, China.

Project description:The new species Zagrammosoma dulanense Cao & Zhu, sp. n., from Qinghai Province, China, is described and illustrated. All type specimens were reared from the pupae of Micrurapteryx sophorivora Kuznetzov & Tristan (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae), a leafmining moth attacking the plant Thermopsis lanceolata R. Br. (Fabaceae). A key to the three known Asian species of Zagrammosoma is provided. All specimens are deposited in the Insect Collection, the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China.

Eriophyoid mites from Qinghai Province, northwestern China with descriptions of nine new species (Acari, Eriophyoidea).

Project description:Eriophyoid mites from Qinghai Province, northwestern China were studied herein. Up to now, only six species have been reported from Qinghai Province. In field surveys, 17 eriophyoid mite species were collected, among which nine species were found new to science. The new species and their host plants are listed as follows: Acaphyllisa tuberculumaesp. n. on Populus sp. (Salicaceae); Proiectus xiningensissp. n. on Pinus sp. (Pinaceae); Phyllocoptes beishaniensissp. n. on Spiraea mongolica Maxim. (Rosaceae); Tetra prunianasp. n. on Prunus tomentosa Thunb. (Rosaceae) Rupr. (Berberidaceae); Tetra pyrianasp. n. on Pyrus calleryana Decne. (Rosaceae); Tetra simoniasp. n. on Populus simonii Carr. (Salicaceae); Diptacus berberinussp. n. on Berberis amurensis Rupr. Two new species of Oxycera (Diptera, Stratiomyidae) from Ningxia, China.
