The formation of micronuclei (MN) is prevalent in human cancer cells and its role in activating the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) machinery has been identified recently. However, the role of MN in regulation of SASP signaling still needs to define in practical cancers. Here, we reported that in colorectal cancer cells the expression of NAT10 (N-acetyltransferase 10) could mediate MN formation through DNA replication and NAT10-positive MN could activate SASP by binding to cGAS. ...[more]
