Assembling structurally customizable synthetic carriers of siRNA through thermodynamically self-regulated process.


ABSTRACT: Graphical abstractImage, graphical abstractWhile synthetic carriers of nucleic acids have attracted intensive research efforts as reflected by hundreds thousands of reports to date, there has yet to be a therapeutically feasible one for systemic delivery due to the difficulty to functionalize synthetic carriers. The self-regulated assembly process shown in the present study may offer scientists in the field a highly reproducible yet easy-to-operate method to equip synthetic carriers with variety of functional components in precise load. We expect that more colleagues/peers in the community may love to use this system in their own studies.
