<i>Odontothrips loti</i> (Haliday, 1852) is an important insect pest of <i>Medicago sativa</i>. In this study, the complete mitochondrial genome of <i>O. loti</i> (GenBank Accession number: MN584901) was sequenced using Illumina HiSeq X Ten. The genome is 15,584 bp long and comprises 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), two ribosomal RNA genes (rRNAs), 22 transfer RNA genes (tRNAs), and putative control region (CR).
