Draft Genome Sequence of Enterobacter oligotrophicus, Isolated from the Microbiome of a Lizard in the Caribbean.

ABSTRACT: Here, we describe the genome sequence of ECC486. This Enterobacter oligotrophicus strain was isolated from a wild specimen of Anolis marmoratus speciosus, a lizard endemic to the territory of Guadeloupe (French West Indies). Its draft genome sequence consists of 40 contigs and contains a total of 4,504,233 bp, with a G+C content of 54.1%.

Draft genome sequence data of a tigecycline-resistant Enterobacter cloacae ST93 clinical strain isolated from bloodstream infection.

Project description:Here we report data on the draft genome sequence of a tigecycline-resistant Enterobacter cloacae ST93 clinical isolate TREC1 producing KPC-2 carbapenemase from China. The draft genome sequence of E. cloacae TREC1 consisted of 74 contigs that comprised 5,322,835?bp, and the overall GC content of this strain amounted to 54.63%. In total, 57 tRNA genes, 5 rRNA operons and 5108 protein-coding sequences were identified in the genome. TREC1 belongs to sequence type ST93. Nineteen antimicrobial resistance genes were confirmed. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing revealed that besides colistin this isolate is resistant to all antibiotics including tigecycline. Project description:We report here the draft genome of Enterobacter aerogenes, a Gram-negative bacterium of the Enterobacteriaceae isolated from Cucurbita pepo root tissue. This bacterium shows 2,2-bis(p-chlorophenyl)-1,1-dichloroethylene (DDE)-degrading potential and plant growth-promoting capacity. An analysis of its 4.5-Mb draft genome will enhance the understanding of DDE degradation pathways and phytoremediation applications for DDE-contaminated soils.
