This study was designed to define total protein, phenol and flavonoid content as well as LC-MS/MS phenolic profile related to antioxidant and antidiabetic activity of ethanolic (EtOH) and water extracts of <i>G. pfeifferi</i> and <i>G. resinaceum</i>. <i>G. resinaceum</i> water extract possessed the highest ability to scavenge DPPH˙ and O<sub>2</sub>˙<sup>-</sup>, while the EtOH extract of the same species showed better activity on NO˙ related to other extracts.
