Vaccine scaffolds and carrier proteins increase the immunogenicity of subunit vaccines. Here, we developed, characterized, and demonstrated the efficacy of a novel microparticle vaccine scaffold comprised of bacterial peptidoglycan (PGN), isolated as an entire sacculi.
