ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C₁₃H₁₁N₃O₅·H₂O, the dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 9.60 (7)° and the chain linking the rings has an anti conformation with a torsion angle of -178.28 (12)°. In the crystal, the components are linked by O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, generating (010) sheets.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C8H8N4O5·H2O, the organic and lattice water mol-ecules are linked together via N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. A C-H⋯O inter-action is also observed between the organic mol-ecules. These hydrogen bonds and inter-actions lead to the formation of a three-dimensional network. An intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond also occurs. The dihedral angle between the acetyl group and the almost planar hydrazide moiety [maximum deviation from the least-squares plane is 0.209 (2) Å for one of the nitro O atoms] is 88.5 (3)°.

Project description:In the anion of the title hydrated mol-ecular salt, C4H8N3O(+)·C12H9N4O7 (-)·H2O [systematic name: 2-amino-1-methyl-4-oxo-4,5-di-hydro-1H-imidazol-3-ium 5-(2,4-di-nitro-phen-yl)-1,3-dimethyl-2,6-dioxo-1,2,3,6-tetra-hydro-pyrimidin-4-olate monohydrate], the 2,4-di-nitro-phenyl ring is inclined to the mean plane of the pyrimidine ring [r.m.s. deviation = 0.37 Å] by 43.24 (8)°. The five-membered ring of the creatininium cation (2-amino-1-methyl-4-oxo-4,5-di-hydro-1H-imidazol-3-ium) is essentially planar with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.015 Å. In the crystal, the anions and cations are linked via N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming sheets parallel to the ab plane. The sheets are linked via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the water mol-ecule, forming a three-dimensional framework. Within the framework, there are C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds present. The title mol-ecular salt displays anti-convulsant and hypnotic activities.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C18H16F2N2·H2O, contains two independent mol-ecules (A and B), and two independent water mol-ecules of crystallization. Project description:Mol-ecules of the title compound, C16H16N4O7, are not planar with a dihedral angle of 5.50 (11)° between the substituted benzene rings. The two meta-meth-oxy groups of the 3,4,5-tri-meth-oxy-benzene moiety lie in the plane of the attached ring [Cmeth-yl-O-C-C torsion angles -0.1 (4)° and -3.7 (3)°] while the para-meth-oxy substituent lies out of the plane [Cmeth-yl-O-C-C, -86.0 (3)°]. These sheets are connected by π-π stacking inter-actions between the nitro and meth-oxy substituted aromatic rings with a centroid-centroid separation of 3.9420 (13) Å. C-H⋯π contacts further stabilize the two-dimensional network.
