ABSTRACT: In order to identify genes associated with aging induced osteoporosis, we established aging related osteoporosis mouse model. Briefly, thirty 2 months old C57BL/6 female mice were maintained under standard animal housing conditions, the mouse was allowed to move and access food and water freely. After keeping for 6 months, 15 mice were euthanized as a normal group, and after 15 mice kept until 18 months old, mice were euthanized as aging osteoprosis group. All mice were dissected bilateral femurs. MicroCT, RT-PCR and mineral apposition rate examination were used to determine whether the model was successfully established. Primary bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells from representative mice were sequenced to identify genes associated with osteoporosis.
