ABSTRACT: Purified variant specific antigens of Trypanosoma brucei were shown to exist in solution as dimers, and occasionally as higher oligomers, as judged by gel filtration and by sodium dodecyl sulphate/polyacrylamide-gel electrophoresis after treatment with bifunctional cross-linking reagents.
