ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(13)H(7)ClN(4)O·C(2)H(6)O, was synthesized by the reaction of 4-chloro-benzaldehyde, malononitrile and 10% sodium hydroxide solution in an aqueous medium. In the crystal structure, the crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H?N, O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds.
