{6,6'-Dimeth-oxy-2,2'-[(cyclo-hexane-1,2-di-yl)bis-(nitriliomethyl-idyne)]diphenolato}trinitratolanthanum(III) methanol monosolvate.

ABSTRACT: In the title mononuclear complex, [La(NO(3))(3)(C(22)H(26)N(2)O(4))]·CH(3)OH, the La(III) ion is coordinated by three bidentate nitrate counter-ions and one zwitterionic 6,6'-dimeth-oxy-2,2'-[(cyclo-hexane-1,2- di-yl)bis-(nitriliomethyl-idyne)]diphenolate ligand through two phenolate and two meth-oxy O atoms, while the protonated N atoms remain uncoordinated. H atoms located on the two N atoms are involved in intra-molecular hydrogen bonds with the deprotonated phenol O atoms, indicating that proton migration occurs during the lanthanum complexation.
