(Acetato-?O)(acetato-?O,O')bis-(1,3-diazinane-2-thione-?S)cadmium(II).

ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [Cd(CH(3)COO)(2)(C(4)H(8)N(2)S)(2)], the Cd(II) cation is coordinated by three acetate O atoms and two S atoms of Diaz [Diaz = 1,3-diazinane-2-thione = 3,4,5,6-tetra-hydro-pyrimidine-2(1H)-thione]. The Cd(II) coordination is augmented by one considerably longer Cd-O bond of 2.782?(3)?Å to a carboxyl-ate O atom. The resulting coordination polyhedron around the Cd(II) cations can be described as a highly distorted octa-hedron. The Diaz ligand and the acetate anions are linked by N-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

Project description:In the structure of the title compound, [CdCl2(C4H8N2S)2], the Cd(II) atom is coordinated by two chloride ions and two 1,3-diazinane-2-thione (Diaz) mol-ecules through their S atoms. The geometry around the Cd(II) atom is distorted tetra-hedral, with bond angles in the range 101.55?(7)-117.91?(8)°. The CH2 groups of one Diaz ligand are disordered over two sets of sites with an occupancy ratio of 0.711?(12):0.289?(12). The mol-ecular structure is stabilized by intra-molecular N-H?Cl hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, generating a butterfly syn conformation. Inter-molecular N-H?Cl and N-H?S inter-actions lead to the formation of a three-dimensional network structure. The structure has been determined from a crystal twinned by nonmerohedry, by a 180° rotation around the reciprocal c axis. The twin ratio refined to 0.8866?(6):0.1134?(6).

Project description:In the title dinuclear ionic complex, [Cd(2)(C(4)H(4)N(2))(H(2)O)(8)][Cd(2)(CH(3)CO(2))(8)(C(4)H(4)N(2))], the cation and anion are disordered equally over a site with symmetry mmm. The Cd(II) ions and the N atoms of the bridging pyrazine ligand lie on the inter-section of two crystallographic mirror planes. The C atoms of the bridging pyrazine ligand lie on one of these mirror planes, and the acetate groups and water mol-ecules lie across the inter-secting mirror planes. Each Cd(II) atom in the cation is five-coordinated by four O atoms from four water mol-ecules and one N atom from the bridging pyrazine ligand, whereas each Cd(II) in the anion is nine-coordinated by four pairs of O atoms from the bidentate acetate ligands and one N atom from the bridging pyrazine ligand. In the crystal structure, each anion is surrounded by eight nearest-neighbour cations and vice versa. The crystal structure is stabilized by ionic inter-actions as well as by C-H?O inter-actions.

Project description:In the structure of the title compound, [Cd(C(9)H(7)N(2)O(2)S)(2)(C(10)H(8)N(2))(2)], the complex mol-ecules are located on a crystallographic twofold rotation axis and the Cd(II) ion is octa-hedrally coordinated by two chelating 2,2'-bipyridine ligands and two O atoms from the carboxyl-ate groups of two 2-(benzimidazol-2-ylsulfan-yl)acetate ligands. The two carboxyl-ate ligands adopt a cis configuration with respect to each other. Within each of these ligands, the imidazole fragments are bent back in a loop towards the acetyl groups, forming intra-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds, which help to stablilize the mononuclear complex. Adjacent mol-ecules are further linked by weak C-H?O hydrogen bonds, resulting in a chain along the c axis.

In the crystal, one of the two pyrimidine N atoms engages in N-H?N hydrogen bonding with one of the pyridine N atoms, generating a helical chain running along the c axis. Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, {[Cd(C(2)Cl(3)O(2))(2)(C(12)H(10)N(2))(2)]·H(2)O}(n), the Cd(II) ion lies on a twofold rotation axis and 1,2-bis-(4-pyrid-yl)ethene ligands bridge symmetry-related Cd(II) ions, forming a two-dimensional structure. Two trichloro-acetate ligands complete the coordination around the Cd(II )ion, forming a distorted octa-hedral environment. In the crystal, solvent water mol-ecules, which also lie on twofold rotation axes, form inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds, which connect the two-dimensional structure into a three-dimensional network. The crystal studied was an inversion twin, the refined ratio of twin components being 0.75?(4):0.25?(4).

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(2)(CH(3)CO(2))(4)(C(7)H(5)NS)(2)] or [(C(7)H(5)NS)Cu](2)(?-O(2)CCH(3))(4), crystallizes with one mol-ecule per unit cell. The coordination number of copper is six with four basal O atoms, one axial N atom and one axial Cu atom. Four acetate ligands act as bidentate linker and connect two Cu atoms, with a crystallographic inversion center located at the mid-point of the Cu-Cu bond. The acetate ligands form slightly distorted square planes around each metal ion, while the copper ions are displaced by 0.2089?(4)?Å from these planes towards the N atoms. Thus, the Cu-Cu distance is elongated to 2.6378?(7)?Å, compared with the 2.2180?(7)?Å distance between the two basal planes. The angle between the basal plane and the Cu-N bond is 4.84?(6)°.

Project description:In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(20)H(26)N(2)O(2), the 1,3-diazinane ring adopts a slightly distorted chair conformation and the hy-droxy-benzyl substituents occupy equatorial positions on the N atoms of the heterocyclic ring. There are two intra-molecular O-H?N hydrogen bonds between the N atoms of the 1,3-diazinane ring and the hy-droxy groups of the aromatic rings, with an S(6) set-graph motif. However, the two observed intra-molecular hydrogen-bond distances were different. Considering that both N atoms experience the same chemical environment, it is surprising to see the difference in O?N distances [2.6771?(14) and 2.8123?(12)?Å]. The crystal structure is further stabilized by a C-H?? interaction.
