Bis{2-[(Tri-phenyl-meth-yl)amino]-phen-yl} diselenide aceto-nitrile monosolvate.

ABSTRACT: The mol-ecular structure of the title compound, C50H40N2Se2·C2H3N, shows a syn conformation of the benzene rings bound to the Se atoms, with an Se-Se bond length of 2.3529?(6)?Å and a C-Se-Se-C torsion angle of 93.53?(14)°. The two Se-bonded aromatic ring planes make a dihedral angle of 18.42?(16)°. Intra-molecular N-H?Se hydrogen bonds are noted. Inter-molecular C-H?Se inter-actions give rise to supra-molecular chains extended along [100]. One severely disordered aceto-nitrile solvent mol-ecule per asymmetric unit was treated with SQUEEZE in PLATON [Spek (2009 ?). Acta Cryst. D65, 148-155]; the crystal data take the presence of this mol-ecule into account.

The three acetronitile ligands linearly bind to the Ru(II) atom, with Ru-N-C angles of 172.6?(2), 179.9?(2) and 171.4?(2)°.

Project description:In the structure of the title nicotino-nitrile derivative, C19H15N3O, the pyridine ring makes dihedral angles of 11.50?(7) and 43.36?(8)° with the 4-amino-phenyl and phenyl rings, respectively, and the dihedral angle between the phenyl rings is 36.28°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H?N hydrogen bonds into wave-like sheets parallel to (10-2). These sheets are stacked by ?-? inter-actions between the 4-amino-phenyl rings of adjacent sheets, with centroid-centroid distances of 3.7499?(9)?Å. C-H?? inter-actions are also present.

Project description:In the cation of the title salt, C4H10NO(+)·C24H20B(-)·C2H3N, the C-N bond lengths are 1.2864 (16), 1.4651 (17) and 1.4686 (16) Å, indicating double- and single-bond character, respectively. The C-O bond length of 1.2978 (15) Å shows double-bond character, pointing towards charge delocalization within the NCO plane of the iminium ion. C-H⋯π inter-actions are present between the methine H atom and two of the phenyl rings of the tetra-phenyl-borate ion. The latter forms an aromatic pocket in which the cation is embedded. The iminium ion is further connected through a C-H⋯N hydrogen bond to the aceto-nitrile mol-ecule. This leads to the formation of a two-dimensional supramolecular pattern along the bc plane.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, {[Cu(C19H17N4O2)]ClO4·C2H3N} n , is reported and compared to similar structures in the literature. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21. The unit cell contains one complex mol-ecule in addition to perchlorate as the counter-ion and solvent (aceto-nitrile). The crystal packing evinces extended chains whereby the carboxyl-ate moiety on the 6-carboxyl-ato-2-(pyridyl-meth-yl)bis-(pyridin-2-ylmeth-yl)amine ligand bridges between two different copper centers in adjacent mol-ecules. This packing arrangement for the title compound appears to be unique when compared to allied structures in the literature. The perchlorate anion showed signs of disorder and its oxygen atoms were modelled over two sets of partially occupied sites, the occupancy of which was competitively refined to 0.564 (12)/0.436 (12). The crystal studied was refined as a two-component inversion twin.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Pd(C22H26N2O2S3)]2·CH3CN, contains two complex mol-ecules and a single uncoordinated lattice aceto-nitrile solvent mol-ecule. The Pd(II) cations have a trans-N2O2 square-planar geometry and the superposition of the two crystallographically independent Pd(II) complexes yields an overall r.m.s. deviation of 0.292?Å. The Pd?Pd separation in the asymmetric unit is 3.3776?(3)?Å, while the PdN2O2 plane-plane fold angle is 1.62?(7)°. A short inter-molecular S?S contact between the central S atom of one complex and its inversion-related symmetry equivalent of 3.663?(2)?Å is observed. Part of the ligand chain (S-C-C-S) in each complex mol-ecule is disordered over two orientations and refined occupancies that converged to 0.450?(10) and 0.550?(10) for the one complex mol-ecule, and 0.789?(9) and 0.211?(9) for the other.

Project description:The title compound, C20H23N3O6·CH3OH, was synthesized by [3 + 2] cyclo-addition of (Z)-2,3-bis-(3,4,5-tri-meth-oxy-phen-yl)acrylo-nitrile with sodium azide and ammonium chloride in DMF/water. The central nitro-gen of the triazole ring is protonated. The dihedral angles between the triazole ring and the 3,4,5-tri-meth-oxy-phenyl ring planes are 34.31?(4) and 45.03?(5)°, while that between the 3,4,5-tri-meth-oxy-phenyl rings is 51.87?(5)°. In the crystal, the mol-ecules, along with two methanol solvent mol-ecules are linked into an R (4) 4(10) centrosymmetric dimer by N-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds.

In the anion, the planes of the benzene rings are twisted with respect to each other by 71.5?(5)°. Disorder was modelled for the dimethyl sulfoxide solvent mol-ecule over two set of sites in a 0.7487?(13):0.2513?(13) ratio. In the crystal, the cations are linked by inversion-generated pairs of N-H?N hydrogen bonds, with an R 2 (2)(8) graph-set motif. The cation donates two N-H?O hydrogen bonds to the anion, also generating an R 2 (2)(8) loop. These inter-actions, along with cation-solvent N-H?O hydrogen bonds, and cation-anion C-H?F, solvent-anion C-H?O and C-H?F inter-actions, result in a three-dimensional network.
