ABSTRACT: Astemizole: effects of oral administration on blood pressure, heart rate, ECG and body temperature in the chronically instrumented conscious rat using telemetry Description: Chronically-instrumented conscious Wistar rats: 6 female Wistar ratsAstemizole per os (30 and 60 mg/kg).No PK performed.Haemodynamic parameters (SAP, DAP, MAP, HR), lead II ECG (RR, PR, QRS, QT, QTcB and QTcF intervals) and body temperature + arrhythmias.Arterial blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature and ECG parameters were measured 45, 30 and 15 min before administration (mean of the measurements obtained at these time points = baseline; T0) and 30 (T30), 60 (T60), 120 (T120), 180 (T180), 240 (T240), 360 (T360), 600 (T600) and 1440 min (T1440) post-administration.
