Transcriptomic analysis of human astrocytes in vitro reveals hypoxia-induced mitochondrial dysfunction, modulation of metabolism and dysregulation of the immune response
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Changes in the transcriptomic profile of the Sciencell human astrocytes, after hypoxia treatment were compared to control cells receiving no treatment, to identify differentially expressed genes and pathways. This study is to understand how hypoxia affects astrocytes and how this might reflect changes induced in circumstances such as ischaemia.
