Control of nitrogen remobilization and senescence in Arabidopsis thaliana by DNA methylation dynamics
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Senescence is altered in mutants that are defective in DNA methylation; in leaves the process of senescence is associated with very moderate initial decline in chromosomal methylation that reversed at later stages. Methylation changes were not specifically associated with senescence-associated genes and potential regulation of transcription factor binding is suggested.
