Single cell atlas of the Drosophila embryonic salivary gland reveals key morphogenetic control steps
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: In order to investiage the morphogenetic control of early tube development in the Drosophila melanogaster embryo we performed single-cell-RNAseq-analysis of FACS-isolated early salivary gland placodal cells (stage 10-12), making up less than 0.4% of cells within the embryo to look for early tubulogeneic signatures. In order to identify salivary gland specific signals from epidermal signatures we also performed single-cell-RNAseq-analysis on FACS-isolated epidermal cells in stage 10-12 Drosophila melanogaster embryos for the purpose of differential expression anaylsis.
