Fertilization-induced synergid cell death by RALF12-triggered ROS production and ethylene signaling

ABSTRACT: Plant material from synergid cells before pollination, and persistent synergid cells 12, 18, and 24 hours after pollination (hap) was collected using manual microdissection. Cell- and stage-specific RNA-seq data were generated with these cell samples to (i) investigate molecular mechanisms ensuring timely induction and execution of synergid cell death, and (ii) provide a unique resource to discover novel PCD regulators.
