ABSTRACT: To evaluate the transcriptional-level biological effects of manufactured nanomaterials, a whole-genome microarray analysis was performed on the lungs of a murine chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) model. Mice were intratracheally instilled with cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs) or multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs).
