Basal Cell Carcinoma Tumor-derived Fibroblasts

Project description:Dataset contains samples that are all fibroblast cells that have been cultured from fresh human tissue. Fibroblasts were derived either from tumor (basal cell carcinoma) or non-tumor (control) tissue. Samples were maintained in DMEM, 10% FBS, glutamine, pen/strep and passaged for 4 passages before RNA harvest was performed using Invitrogen FastTrack. Reference channel RNA is the same for each array in the dataset and is Stratagene Universal Reference RNA. Hybridizations were performed for 14-18 hours at 65 C. Scanning was performed using AxonScanner and data were analyzed using GenePix 3.0. Project description:A set of 37 BCR-ABL positive (21 and 16 of which expressed p185 and p210, respectively) and 17 BCR-ABL negative adult ALL specimens from the ECOG/MRC intergroup study E2993. Gene expression profiling was performed using the 3DNA Array 900 Expression Array Detection Kit (Genisphere, Hatfield, PA), according to the manufacturer's instructions. Gene expression profiling in human glial brain tumors

Project description:Gene expression profiling in 50 glial brain tumors and 4 normal brains using 42,000-feature cDNA microarrays (from total RNA). Tumors: 50 fresh-frozen glioma specimens subjected to standard WHO classification. Specimens included astrocytic [2 juvenile pilocytic astrocytomas, 1 low-grade astrocytic glioma, 1 anaplastic astrocytomas, 31 glioblastomas (of these 2 secondary glioblastomas and 2 gliosarcomas)], oligodendroglial [5 oligodendrogliomas, 3 anaplastic oligodendrogliomas], and 6 anaplastic oligoastrocytomas tumors. One tumor had been classified as glioneuronal neoplasm. Normal brain was purchased from Stratagene. Stratagene Universal Common Reference was used as reference RNA. The results provide insights into molecular mechanisms and pathways associated with gliomagenesis. Gene expression profile of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP)

Project description:Five ITP and five control whole blood samples were collected with IRB approval. The age range of ITP patients was 1-54 years, and the range in platelet counts was 2,000-98,000 W 109/L. We examined only one ITP sample for antiplatelet antibodies, and found it to be positive. Total RNA was isolated from 2.5 ml whole blood according to the PAXgene Blood RNA System (PreAnalytix, Switzerland). RNA isolated from ITP patients and controls, along with Human Universal Reference RNA (Stratagene, La Jolla, CA) were linearly amplified using the MessageAmp aRNA amplification kit (Ambion, Austin, TX).
