ABSTRACT: The present study was designed to investigate the effect of Endothelin-1 (ET-1) on human GV-stage oocyte maturation and explore the mechanism of ET-1 induced resumption of meiosis. Adding ET-1 to the culture medium may enhance the occurrence rate of germinal vesicle breakdown (GVBD) in cumulus cell-enclosed human oocytes.
