Identification of the extracellular proteins of P. aeruginosa that are involved in toxicity and adsorbed by microporous carbon


ABSTRACT: Culture supernatant of P. aeruginosa with or without microporous carbon (MgOC150) was separated by SDS-PAGE. Two major bands (35kDa and 20kDa), whose intensities were remarkably lower in the bacteria grown with MgOC150, were excised and subjected to in-gel digestion and LC-MS/MS analysis.

<i>Pseudomonas aeruginosa</i> is one of the most common pathogens isolated in clinical settings and produces a wide range of extracellular molecules that contributes to the virulence.
