Project description:A pilot program for monitoring proficiency in microarray facilities using three replicates of two different RNA sources. Participating laboratories prepared and hybridized targets from the six RNA samples using their own protocols. The entire process was repeated three times over a nine-month period and included approximately fifteen distinct laboratories in each testing round.
Project description:This data set comprises population (47 samples) measurements of transcription factor DNA binding (PU.1 and RPB2) and histone modification (H3K27ac, H3K4me1 and H3k4me3) levels for a subset of the 1000 Genomes Project CEPH samples. This data was generated as part of the following study: - Population Variation and Genetic Control of Modular Chromatin Architecture in Humans. Cell. 2015 Aug 27;162(5):1039-50. doi: 10.1016/j.cell.2015.08.001. Epub 2015 Aug 20. An additional set of 111 samples from the 1000 Genomes Project (GBR and TSI populations) were also assayed for three histone modifications (H3K27ac, H3K4me1 and H3k4me3). Project description:An international standardization program towards the application of gene expression profiling in routine leukaemia diagnostics: The MILE study pre-phase. A total of 11 laboratories from three continents performed 204 analyses using a whole-genome expression microarray. In an effort to standardize the microarray procedure, each participating centre was equipped with identical hardware, software, and reagents. Designated study operators received intensive individual training on the sample preparation protocol. Experiment Overall Design: This study is part of the MILE Study (Microarray Innovations In LEukemia) program, headed by the European Leukaemia Network (ELN) and sponsored by Roche Molecular Systems, Inc. Experiment Overall Design: Each laboratory prepared two separate cell line total RNA samples, as well as three replicate leukaemia patient lysates in two distinct project stages: (i) a five-day course of protocol training, and (ii) independent proficiency testing. Experiment Overall Design: Using unsupervised, supervised, and r² correlation analyses we demonstrated that microarray analysis can be performed not only with remarkably high intra-laboratory reproducibility but also with comparable quality and reliability between eleven distinct laboratories.
