A hierarchical assembly pathway directs the unique subunit arrangement of TRiC/CCT

ABSTRACT: Chemical cross-linking coupled to mass spectrometry was used to study assembly intermediates of the chaperonin TRiC/CCT. Complex were cross-linked with the homobifunctional, noncleavable reagent, disuccinimidyl suberate (DSS).
