Project description:Obesity may promote myeloid cell accumulation in liver. Intravital liver tissue imaging revealed that the number of myeloid cells attached to sinusoidal wall significantly increased in ob/ob mice. To assess the pathophysiological roll of liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSEC) in obese livers, we performed microarray analysis in LSEC isolated from an 8-week-old wild-type and ob/ob mouse. Pathway analysis in microarray data shows genes related to cell adhesion, chemokine signaling and leukocyte transendothelial migration are upregulated in LSEC from ob/ob.
Project description:Intrahepatic biliary and arterial development proceed with complex orchestrations involving Notch, TgfB, Wnt and Vegf signaling within the portal tracts of the liver. These pathways coordinate morphogenesis and remodeling temporally and spatially from mid-gestation through early postnatal life. We used microarrays to examine changes in remodeling/differentiation programs in portal tracts at 1 week postanally, comparing Jag1+/-Rfng+/- and controls.
Project description:Mouse platelets were collected following 4 days of exercise or standard-housing from 8-week-old C57BL/6J mice and mass spectrometry performed (5 mice per group). The analysis revealed differences in the proteomic content of platelets isolated from standard-housed and exercising mice.
Project description:mRNA degradation critically contributes to liver development and function. The CCR4-NOT complex serves as a major deadenylase that initiates mRNA degradation. We used microarrays to identify deregulated genes in the livers lacking CNOT3, a core subunit of the CCR4-NOT complex.

Project description:To investigate mouse intersubspecific divergence of transcriptional regulation between C57BL/6J (B6) and Japanese wild-derived MSM/Ms strains, we performed transcriptome analysis by microarray on liver from B6 and MSM, and B6-ChrNMSM chromosome substitution strain panel, which carries MSM-derived chromosome or chromosomal segment on the B6 host.
Project description:To investigate the effect of youthful systemic milieu on acute kidney injury in a rat kidney transplantation model based on young (6-week-old) and adult (12-week-old) recipients receiving similar donor kidneys (12-week-old)
