Project description:This dataset has been used to establish GroEL-SIP, coupling a targeted proteotyping approach for assessing bacterial community compositions using the taxonomic marker protein GroEL with stable isotope probing to link the identified taxa to substrate assimilation. This dataset contains raw data of four experiments: 1.) Pure cultures of T. aromatica cultivated with 13C or 12C benzoate mixed in defined ratios. 2.) Pure cultures of P. putida cultivated with 13C or 12C benzoate mixed in a 1:1 ratio. 3.) Pure cultures of E. coli cultivated with 12C acetate and 13C or 12C benzoate mixed in a 1:1 ratio. 4.) Co-cultivated biculture of T. aromatica and P. putida cultivated with 13C or 12C benzoate and mixed in a 1:1 ratio. 5.) Gene expression analysis comparing between pure- and mixed type testicular seminoma

Project description:We hypothesized that the comparison between pure type seminoma and seminoma components in mixed tumor (mixed type seminoma) could reveal early changes of the reprogramming process; however, only a little data is available. We performed gene expression microarray analysis of 6 pure type and 6 mixed type seminomas, and the hierarchical clustering analysis properly grouped each type of seminomas into a separated cluster. Supervised analysis between these groups identified 154 significantly dysregulated genes (Storey-adjusted q < 0.05). The genes with the highest overexpression in mixed type seminomas compared with the pure type seminomas included MT1 isoforms, PRSS8, TSC22D1, and SLC39A4; down-regulated genes included DEFB123, LMTK2, and MTRF. Functional annotation analysis of the differently expressed genes revealed the top-ranking categories related to cellular zinc metabolism, consisting of MT-1 isoforms and SLC39A4.

However, understanding the responses and mechanism of microbial community structure and functions relevant to natural climate zone succession is challenged by the high complexity of microbial communities. Here, we examined soil microbial community in three broadleaved forests located in the Wulu Mountain (WLM, temperate climate), Funiu Mountain (FNM, at the border of temperate and subtropical climate zones), or Shennongjia Mountain (SNJ, subtropical climate).Soils were characterized for geochemistry, Illumina sequencing was used to determine microbial taxonomic communities and GeoChips 5.0 were used to determine microbial functional genes.
