The slab motifs are expanded into the full crystal structure by means of longer-range C-H⋯O attractive inter-actions.

Crystal structure of the two-dimensional coordination polymer poly[di-μ-bromido-bis-(μ-tetra-hydro-thiophene)-dicopper(I)].

Project description:The polymeric title compound, [Cu2Br2(C4H8S)2] n , CP1, represents an example of a two-dimensional coordination polymer resulting from reaction of CuBr with tetra-hydro-thio-phene (THT) in MeCN solution. The two-dimensional layers consist of two different types of rhomboid-shaped dinuclear Cu(μ2-Br)2Cu secondary building units (SBUs); one with a quite loose Cu⋯Cu separation of 3.3348 (10) Å and a second one with a much closer inter-metallic contact of 2.9044 (9) Å. These SBUs are inter-connected through bridging THT ligands, in which the S atom acts as a four-electron donor bridging each Cu(μ2-Br)2Cu unit in a μ2-bonding mode. In the crystal, the layers are linked by very weak C-H⋯·Br hydrogen bonds with H⋯Br distances of 2.95 Å, thus giving rise to a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.

Project description:The title complex, [Cu(2)(C(13)H(11)F(2)N(6)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2), which was hydro-thermally synthesized, contains a binuclear copper cluster (2 symmetry) with a Cu(2)O(2) rhombus [Cu-O = 1.927 (2) Å] formed by donation of two O atoms from two chelate rings. The tridentate function of each ligand is completed by two N atoms coordinated to the two Cu(II) atoms [Cu-N = 1.933 (2) Å]. The separation distance of two Cu(II) atoms in a cluster is 2.988 (1) Å. The dihedral angle between the six-membered chelate rings is 2.13 (9)°. The perchlorate counter-anion is disordered over two sites in a 0.58 (10):0.42 (10) ratio.

The benzene-1,4-dicarboxyl-ate and succinate anions bridge the anti-prisms, forming a three-dimensional network. The succinate anion is located on a centre of inversion. The structure is isomorphous with the Dy, Gd, Er and Nd complexes.

The diperiodic layer motifs stack in an ABAB pattern mediated by C-H⋯O supra-molecular inter-actions between ada ligands and water mol-ecules of crystallization to form the full triperiodic crystal structure of the title compound.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Co(NCS)(2)(C(13)H(14)N(2))(CH(3)OH)(2)], consists of one cobalt(II) cation located on a center of inversion, one half of a 1,3-bis-(pyridin-4-yl)propane ligand located on a twofold rotation axis, as well as one thio-cyanate anion and one methanol mol-ecule in general positions. The cobalt(II) cation is coordinated by two terminal N-bonded thio-cyanate anions and two N-bonded 1,3-bis-(pyridin-4-yl)propane ligands, as well as two O atoms of methanol mol-ecules in a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination mode. Adjacent cations are connected into chains parallel to [10[Formula: see text]] by the bridging 1,3-bis-(pyridin-4-yl)propane ligands. These chains are connected through inter-molecular O-H⋯S hydrogen bonds between the methanol hy-droxy group and the terminal S atom of the thio-cyanate anion.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(2)(C(4)H(4)O(4))(C(15)H(11)N(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)](NO(3))(2)·2H(2)O, was synthesized under hydro-thermal conditions. The dinuclear copper complex is located on a crystallographic inversion centre. The Cu(II) ion is penta-coordinated in a tetra-gonal-pyramidal geometry, with one O atom of a succinate dianion and three N atoms of a 2,2':6',2''-terpyridine ligand occupying the basal plane, and a water O atom located at the apical site. In the crystal structure, O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding links the mol-ecules into a chain parallel to the a axis.
