[?-1,3-Dioxo-1,3-bis(pyridin-2-yl)propane-2,2-diido-?N,C:?C,N']bis[(1,3-diphenylpropane-1,3-dionato-?O,O')palladium(II)](Pd-Pd).

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Pd(2)(C(13)H(8)N(2)O(2))(C(15)H(11)O(2))(2)], crystallized from a mixture of ethanol and n-hexa-nes. The structure is the first example of ?-diketonate in a dianionic ?(2)C-coordination complex containing a Pd(II)-Pd(II) bond. Both Pd(II) atoms adopt a pseudo square-planar coordination geometry. The mol-ecular packing involves ?-inter-actions between the phenyl rings of the 1,3-diphenyl-propane-1,3-dionato ligands with centroid-centroid distances in the range 3.823?(2)-3.868?(2)?Å.

The title compound, [Pd(2)(C(13)H(8)N(2)O(2))(C(15)H(11)O(2))(2)], crystallized from a mixture of ethanol and n-hexa-nes. The structure is the first example of β-diketonate in a dianionic κ(2)C-coordination complex containing a Pd(II)-Pd(II) bond. Both Pd(II) atoms adopt a pseudo square-planar coordination geometry. Project description:The title compound, C(23)H(25)N(3)O(2), was obtained as an inter-mediary in the preparation of non-symmetric tertiary diamines. The mol-ecular structure presents T-shaped spatial form, in which the pyrimidine ring exhibits a chair conformation. The pyridyl ring is almost perpendicular to the phenyl rings with dihedral angles of 80.17?(8) and 76.03?(2)°. The phenol and amine groups are involved in two strong intra-molecular O-H?N inter-actions. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are stacked along [010]; however, no inter-molecular inter-actions are observed.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title complex, [Pd(C(19)H(20)N(2)O(2))]·0.5C(2)H(5)OH, contains two mol-ecules of a Pd(II) complex of a Schiff base ligand with an N(2)O(2) donor set and one ethanol mol-ecule. The Pd(II) centers are in distorted square-planar geometries with the N(2)O(2) donor atoms of the tetra-dentate Schiff base dianions. The ethanol mol-ecule takes part in an O-H?O hydrogen bond. Project description:In the title compound, [V(C15H11O2)2O(CH3OH)]·2CH3OH, the V(IV) atom is coordinated by two 1,3-diphenyl-propane-1,3-dionate ligands and an oxide ligand in an axial position. The sixth position is occupied by the O atom of a methanol group bonded trans to the oxide atom. The octa-hedral geometry is significantly distorted, with the V(IV) atom lying 0.330?(3)?Å above the equatorial plane formed by the O atoms of the two ?-diketonate ligands.
