ABSTRACT: In the title salt, [Co(C(5)H(4)N(2)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]Cl(2), the Co(II) ion is located on an inversion center. It is chelated by two neutral pyrimidine-2-carboxylic acid molecules and is coordinated by two water mol-ecules in an octa-hedral coordination geometry. The cations and anions are linked via O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds into a layer structure; an intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond connects the carboxylic acid group to the pyrimidine N atom.

Project description:There are independent cations and four chloride anions in the crystal structure of the title complex, [Co(C(6)H(6)N(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]Cl(2). In each cation, the Co(II) cation is coordinated by four N atoms from two biimidazole and two O atoms of two water mol-ecules; one Co atom is at a position of site symmetry m, the other at a position of site symmetry 2/m. All Cl(-) ions and water mol-ecules are also located on the mirror plane. Each structural unit is connected through O-H?Cl and N-H?Cl inter-molecular hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional supramolecular structure.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Mn(NCSe)(2)(C(4)H(4)N(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)], the manganese(II) cation is coordinated by two N-bonded pyrimidine ligands, two N-bonded seleno-cyanate anions and two O-bonded water mol-ecules in a distorted octa-hedral coordination mode. The asymmetric unit consists of one manganese(II) cation, located on a centre of inversion, as well as one seleno-cyanate anion, one water mol-ecule and one pyrimidine ligand in general positions. Project description:In the title compound, {[Co(C(10)H(14)N(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]Cl(2)·4H(2)O}(n), the Co(II) atom and the mid-point of the 1,1'-butane-1,4-diyl-diimidazole ligands lie on inversion centers. The Co(II) atom is six-coordinated in a slightly distorted octa-hedral environment by four N atoms from four different ligands and by two O atoms from the water mol-ecules. The Co(II) atoms are bridged by the ligands into a (4,4) net. Adjacent nets are linked to the chloride anions and uncoordinated water mol-ecules via O-H⋯Cl and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, generating a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.

Project description:The title complex, [Co(C(7)H(4)NO(3)S)(2)(C(2)H(6)OS)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], contains a Co(2+) cation in an octa-hedral coordination environment. The metal atom is surrounded by two different neutral ligands, namely dimethyl-sulfoxide (DMSO) and water, each coordinating through the O atom. The anionic saccharinate (sac; 1,1,3-trioxo-2,3-dihydro-1λ(6),2-benzothia-zol-2-ide) ligand coordinates through the N atom. Each of the three similar ligand pairs is in a trans configuration with respect to each other. The Co atom lies on a crystallographic center of symmetry and the octa-hedral geometry is not significantly distorted. A short O-H⋯O hydrogen bond is present between a water H atom and the ketone O atom; two longer hydrogen bonds (intra- and inter-molecular) are also present between a water H and a sulfonic O atom, forming a supramolecular assembly through head-to-tail aggregation between adjacent complexes.

The dihedral angles between the carboxyl-ate groups and the adjacent benzene rings are 3.0 (3) and 2.54 (19)°, while the pyridine and benzene rings are oriented at dihedral angles of 67.40 (8) and 66.25 (8)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a supra-molecular structure.

Project description:In the title complex, [Co(C(7)H(4)IO(2))(2)(C(6)H(6)N(2)O)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], the Co(II) cation is located on an inversion center and is coordinated by two monodentate 2-iodo-benzoate (IB) anions, two nicotin-amide (NA) ligands and two water mol-ecules. The four O atoms in the equatorial plane around the Co(II) cation form a slightly distorted square-planar arrangement, while the slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination is completed by the two N atoms of the NA ligands in the axial positions. In the crystal, N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.
