ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [CdCl(2)(C(4)H(6)N(2)S)(2)], the Cd(II) atom is coordinated by two chlorido ligands and two N atoms of the 2-amino-5-methyl-1,3-thia-zole (amtz) ligands in a slightly distorted tetra-hedral coordination geometry. Intra- and inter-molecular N-H?Cl hydrogen bonding stabilizes the crystal structure. A weak S?Cl inter-action [3.533?(2)?Å] is observed between neighboring mol-ecules.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Ni(C(5)H(5)N(2)O(2)S)(2)(H(2)O)], the Ni(II) cation is located on a twofold rotation axis and chelated by two 2-amino-1,3-thia-zole-4-acetate (ata) anions in the basal coordination plane; a water mol-ecule located on the same twofold rotation axis completes the distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry. Inter-molecular O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonding, as well as ?-? stacking between parallel thia-zole rings [centroid-centroid distance 3.531?(8)?Å], helps to stabilize the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title compound, [Ni(C(7)H(4)NS(2))(2)(C(7)H(9)N(3)O(3)S)], the Ni(II) ion is in a slightly distorted N(4)S(2) octa-hedral coordination environment. The two benzothia-zole-2-thiol-ate ligands chelate via their thia-zole N and thiol-ate S atoms while the methyl 2-(2-amino-thia-zol-4-yl)-2-(methoxy-imino)acetate also acts as a chelate ligand binding through the thia-zole and imino N atoms. Intra-molecular N-H?N, C-H?N and C-H?O inter-actions contribute to the mol-ecular conformation. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds produce R(1) (2)(6) rings and generate chains along the c axis. An extensive one-dimensional supra-molecular network of N-H?O hydrogen bonds and C-H?? inter-actions is responsible for the crystal structure stabilization.

Project description:The title compound, C(10)H(14)N(2)O(4)S, was synthesized by the reaction of methyl 2-amino-thia-zole-5-carboxyl-ate and di-tert-butyl carbonate. In this structure, the thia-zole ring is planar (mean deviation = 0.0011 Å). Two weak intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are formed between two of the methyl groups and one carbonyl O atom, resulting in the formation of two twisted six-membered rings. Inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules to form centrosymmetric dimeric units, and the hydrogen-bond scheme is completed by inter-molecular C-H⋯O contacts.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Pb(2)(C(4)H(5)NO(4))(2)(C(6)H(6)N(4)S(2))(2)]·4H(2)O, the dinuclear Pb(II) complex mol-ecule is centrosymmetric. The Pb atom is chelated by a tridentate imino-diacetate anion (IDA) and a diamino-bithia-zole (DABT) ligand, while a carboxyl-ate O atom from an adjacent IDA anion further bridges the Pb atom with a longer Pb-O bond [2.892?(3)?Å]. The lone-pair electrons of the Pb atom occupy an axial site in the ?-penta-gonal-bipyramidal coordination polyhedron. The IDA anion displays a facial configuration: its chelating five-membered rings assume an envelope configuration. Within the DABT ligand, the two thia-zole rings are twisted relative to each other, making a dihedral angle of 9.51?(17)°. Extensive N-H?O, O-H?O and weak C-H?O hydrogen bonding helps to stabilize the crystal structure.

An extensive hydrogen-bonding network of types N-H?O, O-H?O, O-H?N and O-H?S consolidates the crystal structure.

Project description:The title mol-ecule, C(8)H(6)BrNS(2), is almost planar with a dihedral angle of 0.9?(1)° between the benzene and thia-zole rings. The values of the geometry-based index of aromaticity (HOMA) and the nucleus-independent chemical shift (NICS) for the two cyclic fragments of the title mol-ecule are 0.95 and -9.61, respectively, for the benzene ring, and 0.69 and -7.71, respectively, for the thia-zole ring. They show that the benzene ring exhibits substanti-ally higher cyclic ?-electron delocalization than the thia-zole ring. Comparison with other similar benzothia-zole fragments reveals a similar trend.
